n The childminder knows the signs and symptoms that may suggest that a child may be at risk of abuse. She is alert to possible indicators that a child or family may be at risk of being drawn into extreme behaviours or ideas. The childminder is aware of the local procedures to follow should she need to report a concern about a child's welfare. She also knows what to do if an allegation is made against herself or a member of her household. n The childminder continues to develop her skills through ongoing professional development opportunities. For example, she accesses regular safeguarding training and maintains a current paediatric first-aid qualification. This helps her to have up-to-date knowledge of how to keep children safe. n The childminder has suitable risk assessments in place to ensure that her house is safe and secure for children. She plans to complete daily safety checks for the equipment and resources and remove any potential hazards to children.

p.2

This provision meets requirements

There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
