All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2.

Summary of outcome

If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 12 and 13 December 2022, we carried out a regulatory telephone calls, and on 14 December we carried out a regulatory visit. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. We served a welfare requirement notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out.

p.1

Summary of outcome

- ensure robust and thorough risk assessments for the premises are undertaken on a regular basis throughout the day to ensure children are not exposed to any risks, including the temperature of radiators

Summary of outcome

- develop a sound understanding of safeguarding procedures, including when and whom to inform in the case of an allegation being made against the provider, this includes others working with the children and members of the household

p.1

Summary of outcome

- ensure that all persons holding valid and required paediatric first aid training, are fully aware and competent to administer the relevant first aid for the accident/injury sustained, this includes being aware when to seek emergency medical assistance

p.1

- implement robust procedures that ensure parents are informed promptly regarding any accidents and injuries their child sustains, and the details of the first aid administered

p.2

Summary of outcome

- ensure parents are provided with current and relevant information regarding procedures, this includes what to do if they wish to report an allegation against the provider and others working or coming into contact with the children

p.2

- develop a robust understanding of incidents and changes that must be reported to Ofsted, within the specified period, and when reasonably practicable to do so.

p.2

Summary of outcome

On 4 January 2023 we undertook a monitoring visit to check what steps the provider had taken to meet the actions set. We found that the provider has improved their knowledge and understanding of risk assessment, safety, child protection procedures, first aid, sharing information with parents and Ofsted, and now fully understands their responsibilities.

p.2

Summary of outcome

We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years. For further information please read the Early years compliance handbook which can be found here at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-provider-non-compliance- action-by-ofsted .
