p.1

This provision does not meet requirements

n The provider does not have relevant information available for all children in her care. This compromises children's safety and welfare, for example, should the information be required in an emergency. n Although there are 24 children on roll, the provider was unsure of exact numbers. In addition, not all documentation was easily accessible or available for inspection. For example, documentation relating to a safeguarding concern and subsequent referral has not been safely stored. This compromises confidentiality and shows the provider is ineffective at following the setting's own safeguarding children policy. This states that the provider will keep relevant documentation. n The failure to make necessary documentation available for inspection has been raised with the provider previously, as an area for improvement. This shows that the provider is not always making or maintaining necessary improvements.

p.2

This provision does not meet requirements

n The daily attendance record does not include the names of all of the children being cared for on the premises, or their hours of attendance. The provider explains that children not included were just attending for settling-in visits. The provider has already been issued with a notice, on two previous occasions, to ensure she maintains accurate attendance records. Again, this shows that the provider is not making or maintaining the improvements highlighted, to meet the requirements of the early years foundation stage. n The provider does not take all reasonable steps to ensure children in her care are not exposed to risks. For example, one of the car safety seats used for children is damaged and not suitable for use. This compromises child safety. n The provider does not have an acceptable knowledge and understanding of the different areas of learning, or of appropriate learning experiences to provide for

children. This has also been highlighted as an area for improvement at a previous inspection. This does not demonstrate a commitment to ensuring that they provide quality care and learning and development experiences for children, that continually improve. n The provider and her assistants do not have a positive attitude towards continuous professional development. They have not accessed any training since the last inspection. This does not reflect a commitment to ongoing learning and to making sustained improvement, to continue to provide quality learning experiences for children. n Insufficient progress and improvement have been made since the last inspection. The provider still does not meet the requirements of the 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage'. The provider does not demonstrate the ability to evaluate her own practice, to ensure continuous improvement for children.

p.2

This provision does not meet requirements

16 November 2022 There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
