Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 16 November 2022, we received a notification from the provider about medical treatment being sought following a child coming into contact with something they are allergic to. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage' to notify Ofsted of any serious illness to a child while in their care.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 9 December 2022, we carried out a telephone call to the provider and found that at the time of the incident, the provider was not meeting the requirements after a child was provided food, they are allergic to. We found that following this incident, the provider had taken prompt and effective action to address this by reviewing their allergy policy, briefing staff and taking steps to minimise this sort of incident occurring again in the future. We were satisfied that the provider had taken appropriate action and did not need to take any further action ourselves.
p.1
Summary of outcome
The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
