Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 29 November 2022, the provider notified us that a child alleged she has pushed them. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of any allegations of serious harm or abuse by any person living, working, or looking after children at the premises (whether the allegations relate to harm or abuse committed on the premises or elsewhere).

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 2 December 2022, we carried out a regulatory visit. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. We have issued actions for the provider to take. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure you keep a record of any occasion where physical intervention is used, including when managing behaviour, and that parents and/or carers are informed on the same day, or as soon as reasonably practicable

p.1

Summary of outcome

n increase your knowledge and understanding of how to develop and support children's personal, social and emotional skills

p.1

Summary of outcome

The provider responded to Ofsted to say that they had updated their safeguarding children policy and procedure and had also ensured a record of any physical intervention is now in place. The provider is researching how to develop and support children's personal, social and emotional skills as well as how to manage children's behaviour in appropriate ways. They are also seeking advice and ideas from other childminders, in order to increase their own knowledge and understanding. We are satisfied with the actions taken by the provider and they remain registered with Ofsted.

p.1

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
