Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 1 November 2022 we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be inadequate. The inspection report sets out the actions the provider was required to take to meet the requirements.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 23 November 2022, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions, raised at their last inspection. The provider responded to the actions set.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We found that the provider had improved their knowledge and understanding of child protection procedures and now fully understands their responsibilities. We observed that the provider holds a good oversight of staff recruitment and that systems for ensuring staff suitability for their roles, have improved. We found that the provider understands the action to take when allegations are made against a member of staff, including when making a referral to LADO and the Disclosure and Barring Service. They have put in place training and support for all staff, including those who take designated safeguarding lead roles, so that they understand and fulfil their roles and responsibilities. The provider has taken action to improve their knowledge of the procedures for notifications that must be made to Ofsted.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.1

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
