Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 19 October 2022, the provider notified us that a child had left the premises without their knowledge before being returned by a member of the public. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of any significant event which might affect their suitability to care for children. On 27 October we also received concerns that the provider was not meeting some of these requirements.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 9 November 2022, we carried out a regulatory visit. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. We found that, since the incident, the provider had taken action to ensure the premises were secure and improve staff's knowledge and understanding of completing risk assessments. However, the provider was not meeting staff: child ratio requirements, including deployment of staff to ensure children are kept safe and their needs are met. We have issued the following action for the provider to take. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. Action needed by 16 November 2022:

Summary of outcome

n improve staff deployment to ensure that children are well supervised, kept safe from harm, and that their needs are met.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 16 November 2022, the provider responded to the action set. We found that the provider had improved how staff are deployed across the setting. We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.1

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.1

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
