This provision does not meet requirements
n The childminder fails to ensure she has adequate knowledge and understanding to fulfil her safeguarding roles and responsibilities. She does not know enough about areas of safeguarding that may have an impact on the children or families she works with. The childminder is not aware of the procedures she must follow in some circumstances, for instance should an allegation be made against her. Despite this weakness being raised at her previous inspection, not enough has been done to drive improvements in this area. As a result, Ofsted intends to take enforcement action. n The childminder fails to evaluate herself effectively. She is aware of the gaps in her own knowledge but is unsure how to improve. Although training and other professional development opportunities are available, she does not actively seek to better her understanding of her role. As a result, some weaknesses within her practice do not strengthen over time.

n Some improvements have been made since the previous inspection. The childminder has broadened her understanding of how to help young children learn. She now recognises the importance of planning a well-thought-out, sequenced and challenging curriculum. There were no children present for the inspection, so this was not seen in practice. However, the childminder demonstrates an improved understanding of the curriculum she plans to deliver for future minded children. n The childminder recognises the importance of supporting children's personal development and good health. She has a strong understanding of different strategies to use to help children begin to recognise and regulate their own emotions and behaviours. She shows genuine warmth and care for children she has cared for previously. The childminder helps to support children's physical safety by conducting risk assessments and ensuring her premises are safe,

secure and free from hazards. She maintains accurate records for children, including documenting when they are present at the provision. n Partnerships with parents are a new focus for the childminder. She now appreciates the benefits of maintaining working relationships with parents and professionals connected with the children in her provision. She shares information, such as children's development targets and goals, with parents when she is actively operating. This helps to ensure that children experience consistent approaches to their learning at home, in other settings and with the childminder.

This provision does not meet requirements
11 October 2022 There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
