Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage . If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right. On 11 November 2022, we received concerns that this provider was not meeting some of these requirements. On 15 November 2022, we carried out an unannounced regulatory visit. We found that the provider had left her assistant in sole charge of seven children all in the early years age group. We found that the provider allowed family members to smoke on the premises, although not in the rooms used to care for minded children. We also found that the provider had not maintained a record of when children attend the setting. Following this visit, the provider notified us of their wish to resign their registration. They are no longer a registered childcare provider.
