Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage . If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right. On 20 October 2022, we received concerns that this provider was not meeting some of these requirements. On 3 November 2022, we carried out an unannounced regulatory visit. We found that fire exits are not always kept clear and not all staff know fire evacuation procedures. We found that bedding in cots where the youngest children sleep is not changed often enough. We also found that staff handling and preparing food are not suitably trained to do so. Following this visit, we served the provider with a Welfare Requirements Notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

Summary of outcome
On 15 November 2022, we carried out a further unannounced regulatory visit. We found that the provider had completed fire evacuation practice with staff, and these are now scheduled in monthly. The fire exits have new signs reminding staff to keep them clear. All rubbish has been removed from the exit routes. Staff now complete daily risk assessments and these are checked by the manager. Staff understand the procedures for changing bedding so that children sleep in bedding that is clean and hygienic. All staff involved in preparing and handling food have received training in food hygiene. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
