This provision does not meet requirements

n The childminder does not ensure that her home is suitable for the care she provides. She provides overnight care for children when she does not have the appropriate beds for this. For example, the childminder describes how she sleeps two children top-to-toe in a single bed. In addition, her risk assessments are not sufficiently thorough to identify all hazards, particularly how to keep children safe in the event of a power failure. n The childminder has a poor understanding of safeguarding, particularly in relation to female genital mutilation and the 'Prevent' duty guidance. She does not know what her local safeguarding partnership procedures are, should she have a concern about a child. In addition, the childminder does not have up-to- date contact numbers for her local safeguarding partnership. This impacts on children's safety. n The childminder has a poor understanding of the early years foundation stage.

p.2

This provision does not meet requirements

There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
