need to do better?
10 October 2022 n Staff ensure that children develop good hygiene practices, such as handwashing on arrival and before snack. Children enjoy a range of fruit and vegetables and sandwich fillings. However, staff do not grasp the opportunity to discuss the benefits of good food choices and a healthy lifestyle. Furthermore, children are not reminded to cover their mouth when they cough to prevent the spread of germs. n Children are kind to their peers. Older children engage well with younger children. They develop friendships, resulting in a respectful culture across the club. They generally follow the behaviour expectations, and staff act swiftly to remind children of the rules, calmly discussing right from wrong. For example, they ask children to sit down while eating.
p.2
Safeguarding
The arrangements for safeguarding are effective.

Staff link together with the school to share any necessary safeguarding information. Children are supervised, inside and outside. Children understand the rules when outside on the playground. They wait to be escorted back to the club all together. Parents arrive at a secure gate. Staff walk with children and release the safety lock before handing them over to known adults.
