This provision does not meet requirements

n The childminder does not have a secure enough knowledge and understanding of safeguarding, to keep children safe. She has not kept her policies and procedures for reporting safeguarding concerns up to date. The childminder is not familiar with recent changes in local authority reporting protocols and procedures. Although she can identify some signs and symptoms of abuse, she has little knowledge of wider safeguarding issues, such as county lines. Therefore, she is not able to identify children who may be at risk of harm and take action to safeguard them. The childminder does, however, understand what she must do if there is an allegation made against her or a household member. n The childminder has an emergency fire evacuation plan. However, she has not practised the procedures so that children know what to do in the event of an emergency. In addition, smoke alarms are not working, and batteries have not

p.2

This provision does not meet requirements

There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
