This provision does not meet requirements

n The childminder understands the importance of play. She explains the value of children having opportunities to play outdoors and to learn about the wider world. However, she demonstrates limited knowledge of the learning and development requirements of the early years foundation stage. n The childminder has not kept her knowledge of how to safeguard children up to date. She does not consistently demonstrate a good understanding of the relevant agencies to contact if she is concerned about a child's well-being or if an allegation is made against her or another adult. n The childminder has not ensured that she has kept her first-aid certificate up to date. This is a breach of the requirements of the 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage'. n The childminder understands the importance of building positive relationships with parents in order to share learning. For instance, she describes how she

plans to share children's daily activities. In addition, she will use a daily journal so that parents can also share information. n The childminder understands how to promote positive behaviour. She talks about how she plans to keep her setting safe and secure and minimise any dangers to children. For instance, she plans to keep daily records of children's attendance.

p.2

This provision does not meet requirements

There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
