Safeguarding
Staff have a secure understanding of procedures they should follow to ensure children are safeguarded. They know possible signs when a child may be at risk. They understand who to report their concerns to and the role of lead agencies. Leaders and managers test out staff's understanding of safeguarding during spot quizzes. Staff are mindful of children's safety as they move around the premises, including completing regular head counts. Children also learn to keep themselves safe. For example, the early years children learn about road safety when using the zebra crossing. They know to stop and wait and listen out for traffic before safely crossing with staff.
