Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 6 May 2022, the childminder informed Ofsted of some significant information. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of any significant event which may affect their suitability. On the same day, we suspended the provider's registration because we believed children may be at risk of harm. Suspension allows time for the provider to take steps to reduce or eliminate the risk of harm to children. The provider had a right to appeal against a suspension and must not provide childcare for which registration is required while the suspension is in place. They may commit an offence if they do so.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We liaised with other agencies and on 24 May 2022, we held a regulatory telephone call with the provider. We lifted the suspension because the provider took appropriate action to deal with the matter that led to the suspension, and we were satisfied that the identified risk of harm to children has been removed. However, we found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. We served a welfare requirements notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.
p.1
Summary of outcome
implement effective strategies to manage challenging behaviour, particularly in respect of older children, to help prevent any negative impact on the well-being of young children who may be present. On 5 July 2022, we carried out an unannounced regulatory visit. We found that the provider had reflected on and identified appropriate strategies to manage behaviour and prevent any negative impact of behaviour on other children.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We continued to carry out other routine checks to help determine the provider's continued suitability. The provider resigned their registration before we could conclude these additional checks.
p.2
Summary of outcome
The provider is no longer registered with Ofsted.
