This provision does not meet requirements

n The childminder's understanding of child protection is poor. She is unable to recognise some of the different types of abuse that children may be subjected to. Furthermore, she is unsure of the correct procedures to follow if an allegation is made. This could compromise children's safety and also the safety of herself and any adult who lives or works on the premises, if faced with an allegation. n The childminder does not prioritise record keeping or the maintaining of the required documents. She has not kept an accurate daily record of children's hours of attendance. The personal details about children and parents has been omitted from documentation. This means she does not have necessary information available should she need to refer to this. The childminder is unaware of the requirement to retain records after children have left. n The childminder failed to notify Ofsted of a significant event, which is a

She wants to promote a consistent approach and to support all local children and families to receive good quality services that they rightly deserve. n The premises are safe and secure. Children have access to the whole of the ground floor, which is dedicated to childminding. The childminder has continued with some of the procedures introduced as a result of COVID-19. Older children have continued with the regular handwashing routines and the use of hand sanitiser. This helps to protect their physical health. Furthermore, daily access outdoors in the garden and opportunities to move around in the safe communal area helps children to be physically active. n The childminder aspires to provide a good quality service. This provision does not meet requirements

25 July 2022 There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
