This provision does not meet requirements
n The childminder is not able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge of the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage and, as a result, has failed to meet several of the safeguarding and welfare requirements. The childminder has not ensured that all adults living in the household are known to Ofsted. Consequently, the necessary suitability checks have not been carried out. Therefore, children's safety cannot be assured. n The childminder has not ensured that required registration documentation is kept up to date as she has not informed Ofsted of the change to her marital status. The childminder not maintained her first-aid certificate. This means that in the event of an accident and/or injury children's health and safety cannot be assured. n The childminder's understanding of safeguarding is weak. For example, she is unsure of procedures to follow if an allegation is made against herself or another

adult living in the household. She is not sure where to report concerns if she is worried about a child's welfare. This does not promote the welfare of children. Therefore, arrangements for safeguarding are not effective. n The childminder has not kept her knowledge of the early years foundation stage up to date. She was not able to demonstrate an understanding of the areas of learning or provide a clear picture of how she will support children's development. This impacts on her ability to provide a varied programme of well- planned activities to support children's learning. n The childminder demonstrates limited knowledge of how to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. For example, she is not clear on how she will identify children who may have additional needs. She does not know where to seek support for children or how to seek suitable training to help close gaps in knowledge.
p.2
This provision does not meet requirements
n The childminder is unclear how she will monitor and assess children's learning and development. The childminder is uncertain, for example, of the requirements to complete a written progress check for children aged between two and three years. n The childminder does not demonstrate how she will keep parents informed of children's progress or how she will involve them in their child's learning.
p.2
This provision does not meet requirements
There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
