This monitoring visit
On 10 May 2022, Ofsted inspected the children’s home and judged the home to be inadequate. The inspector found that leaders and managers had failed to safeguard children, children were not making progress, and there was ineffective leadership and management of the home. No children were living in the home at the time of the inspection.
p.1
This monitoring visit
Following that inspection, the registered manager completed a review of all practice and procedures and produced a comprehensive action plan to Ofsted. The inspector found that sufficient progress has been made to confirm that two of the five requirements made following the previous inspection have been met. There is now a process in place to ensure the safe use of agency staff, and the staff have received an improved level of safeguarding training.

p.1
This monitoring visit
The registered manager reports that all staff have used the time effectively while no children are living in the home. The inspector was told that the staff are enthusiastic about the changes that have taken place and are looking forward to children coming to live in the home. Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: SC457327 2 Effective management oversight was evident across the records that were scrutinised during the visit.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The action plan is continuing to be progressed and the registered manager provides Ofsted with regular updates. Therefore, Ofsted will continue to monitor progress and review the remaining requirements at the next full inspection.
