We found that the childminder has taken sufficient steps to develop her knowledge and understanding of issues that can make a child vulnerable to abuse in their life at home or elsewhere in the community. She now ensures that records which help to safeguard children are maintained. The childminder now understands that she must make a referral to the appropriate agencies in a timely manner and is now clearer about the importance of sharing information and working with other agencies.
