Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 4 July 2022, the provider notified us about an incident where minded children were being cared for by somebody other than the registered childminder. During this time, a child was left behind following an outing to a park. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of any significant event which is likely to affect the suitability of the provider.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 19 July 2022, we carried out a regulatory telephone call. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. We have issued actions for the provider to take. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.1

Summary of outcome

n improve arrangements for the two-way flow of information with parents to ensure that they promptly receive clear and accurate information about their child's care and well- being

p.1

Summary of outcome

n improve the use of risk assessment, particularly during outings, to identify any risks to children's safety and take action to remove or minimise these, including considering any additional risks in the event of an emergency

p.1

Summary of outcome

n obtain permission from parents to leave their child in the sole care of an assistant for any period of time, including details about the assistant nominated to provide care, so that parents can make an informed decision about their child's care.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We will monitor the provider's response to ensure the actions are successfully completed.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 23 July 2022, the provider responded to the actions set. We found that the provider has taken action to improve risk assessment procedures to keep children safe. The provider has improved information sharing with parents to help ensure their well-being. New systems have been implemented to ensure permission is obtained from parents prior to anybody else being in sole care of children. We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.1

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
