Inspection of Little Folks Day Nursery & Out of School Clubs Gunters Primary School, Gunter Road, Pype Hayes, Birmingham B24 0RU

p.1

This provision meets requirements

n The experienced owner, manager and deputy work extremely well together to support and monitor staff performance at all levels. They have a secure understanding of how to provide a varied range of experiences for children's enjoyment and to build on what they learn at school. n The management team place a high priority on safeguarding children. There are effective systems in place to ensure children arrive safely to the club and the environment and activities are suitable and safe for children. Staff know about the possible signs of the abuse and the procedure to follow if they have a concern about a child. n The management team recognise the value of obtaining the views of parents, children and staff to help them evaluate what they provide and further develop the service on offer. The programme of activities they offer includes a variety of activities and experiences, which are tailored for children's interests.

p.2

This provision meets requirements

n Working in partnership with staff at the on-site school is a key priority to ensure the sharing of information about children's care and well-being. There are clear procedures in place for staff to follow to ensure information is shared between the club, school staff and parents to support children's welfare. n The management team and staff team are knowledgeable about how to provide an inclusive environment for all children. The programme of activities provides plenty of opportunities for staff to teach children about their differences and communities beyond their own experience.

p.2

This provision meets requirements

There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
