This provision meets requirements

n Since the last inspection, the childminder has taken steps to meet the actions set. She has improved her knowledge about the local safeguarding partnership procedures for reporting any child protection concerns. She has completed training about the signs and symptoms of abuse and how to recognise concerns that may be related to the 'Prevent' duty. n The childminder knows how to keep children safe and protect their welfare. She knows the importance of getting to know the children and their family well. This enables her to see if there are any changes to their demeanour or well-being. The childminder understands that child protection concerns, or allegations made against herself or a member of her family, must be recorded and reported to the local safeguarding partnership and notified to Ofsted. n The childminder demonstrates an understanding of how to promote children's learning and development. She understands the requirement to find out where

children are in their learning and to plan a curriculum in order to help children make the best progress they can. n The childminder demonstrates through discussion that she knows how to manage children's behaviour in a positive way. She understands how to promote children's learning about equality and diversity. She knows how to support children to be independent and be ready for moving on to school when the time comes. n The childminder recognises the importance of working closely with parents to help ensure children receive a consistent approach to their care and learning. She knows the benefits of working in partnership with other settings children attend to provide additional consistency for children.

p.2

This provision meets requirements

There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
