The provision is good

The childminder provides a welcoming environment for children. They develop warm and trusting relationships with her and respond to her kind and caring approach. Children enjoy their time at the childminder's house. Parents and carers describe the setting as a 'home from home'. Children are confident to explore the well-organised environment and quickly settle into play.

The provision is good

Children explore the world around them. They go on regular outings, such as trips to local museums, parks, the library and playgroup. The childminder is keen for children to meet others and develop their confidence in social situations. Children are proud of their work which is on display as part of a local exhibition. They discuss how they made crowns as part of their learning about the Queen's platinum jubilee and how they hosted a party as part of Eid celebrations. Children develop a breadth of knowledge in all areas and learn the skills they need to succeed in life.

Furthermore, the childminder shares the books that children read with parents so that they can enhance this love and interest in stories at home. n The childminder values the importance of children developing their communication and language skills. Curious children ask lots of questions, and the childminder happily answers these. The experiences that children receive help to develop their language skills and teach them new words.
