The provision is outstanding

Young children engage in their learning with great enthusiasm and demonstrate a real thirst to get involved and have a go at the vast array of opportunities available to them. Older children relish the variety of activities the childminder provides. During the pandemic, the older children especially appreciated the opportunity to learn to ride their own bikes that they brought to the childminder's house from home. Older children also gained plenty of new knowledge through exploring our natural world in local rivers and streams. They explored the natural habitats of river insects, such as dragonflies and crayfish.

p.2

The provision is outstanding

Children show great levels of concentration as they begin to learn about our Royal Family and the Queen's Jubilee. Younger children explore grains of red, white and blue coloured rice that they previously dyed. Using a variety of stimulating resources, they manipulate the rice, pouring it into the turrets on a palace the older children have made. Older children's learning is extended as they create Union Jack flags using coloured rice and learn about the role of the British Army Grenadier Guards and the Trooping of the Colour ceremony.
