This provision meets requirements

n The childminder is committed to keeping her knowledge and training up to date. For example, she has continued to access a variety of courses, including a safeguarding refresher. This has provided her with a greater understanding of how to keep children safe from harm and how to identify children and families who may be at risk. n The childminder has a sound understanding of how to promote children's individual learning. She explains how she intends to use information gathered from parents and observations she has made, to understand what children already know and can do when they start. The childminder intends to use this information, alongside children's interests, to provide exciting and stimulating activities to promote children's learning. n The childminder has fully considered how she will promote children's health, safety and well-being. She places a strong focus on ensuring that her home is safe, well organised and free from any risks. She has also considered how she

will promote children's good health through healthy meals and encouraging fresh air and exercise outdoors. n The childminder has a good understanding of how to support children's independence and social and emotional development. She intends to focus her curriculum on encouraging children to be ready for school. For example, she will support children to do things by themselves, have manners and gain respect for each other's views. n The childminder understands how partnerships with parents and other professionals can support children's overall development. She has thought carefully about how she builds relationships with parents. She also understands the importance of contacting other agencies if families, or children, require additional support.

This provision meets requirements

There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
