This compromises children's safety. n The childminder does not maintain a valid paediatric first-aid qualification at all times as required. In addition, she does not ensure that records are easily accessible and available to support the safe and efficient management of the setting. n Overall, the childminder understands how to provide enjoyable learning experiences across the seven areas of learning and development. However, she lacks a clear understanding of how to assess children's progress and identify gaps in their learning. For example, the childminder does not have any knowledge about the requirement to complete the progress check at age two.
p.2
This provision does not meet requirements
This action was raised at her last inspection which shows that the childminder has limited capacity to improve. n The childminder is aware of the signs and symptoms that may indicate that a child is at risk of harm and knows how to report her concerns. In addition, she understands her responsibilities under the 'Prevent' duty. n The childminder recognises the importance of providing healthy meals and opportunities for daily outdoor play to support children's physical well-being.
p.2
This provision does not meet requirements
There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
