Children took part in the inspection process. They talked about their views and experiences of what it is like to live in their home and the care and support that they receive. For some children this has been their stable home for several years. The atmosphere in the home was warm and full of laughter and children were clearly settled and comfortable with the adults caring for them. Children said, ‘This is my home and I would not want to live anywhere else’ and ‘The staff are family and I know they care.’ Children new to the home said, ‘I am really happy and I have already been to visit my new school and done loads of activities. I have my own bedroom and get asked if I need anything and I have been to the beach for the first time.’ Children are proud to show inspectors their bedrooms and their home.
