Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 14 January 2022, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be not met with enforcement action. Following the inspection, we served a welfare requirement notice on 31 January 2022. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

Summary of outcome

n develop a secure understanding of the current and local procedures to safeguard children

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure a policy and procedures are in place which include an explanation of the actions to be taken and who to contact if there are concerns about a child or if allegations of abuse are made

p.1

Summary of outcome

n obtain and maintain a valid paediatric first-aid certificate

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure the required liability insurance is in place On 28 February 2022, we carried out a regulatory telephone call. The focus of the call was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions, raised at their last inspection.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We found that the provider had improved their knowledge and understanding of child protection procedures and now fully understands their responsibilities. They had obtained public liability insurance and a valid paediatric first aid qualification. However, the safeguarding policy did not include current guidance and the information included within it was out of date. Therefore, we re-issued the action within the welfare requirement notice, requiring them to update their policy and procedure, to allow the provider additional time to address this.

p.2

Summary of outcome

On 7 April 2022, we carried out a further regulatory telephone call. The focus of the call was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare action raised following the last regulatory call. We found that the provider had updated their safeguarding policy to include up to date information about the actions to be taken and who to contact if there are concerns about a child or if allegations of abuse are made.

p.2

Summary of outcome

We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
