The provision is outstanding
The childminder is extremely passionate about providing children with the highest quality care and education. Children flourish in her care and make rapid progress in their development. They ooze enthusiasm to learn and are confident and contented learners. Children form extremely close bonds with the childminder and move around freely, excitedly exploring the rich-learning environment. They choose what they want to do from an abundance of resources available to them in a dedicated playroom. For example, they enthusiastically draw around their hands and engage the childminder in conversation about comparisons, discussing who has bigger, massive, or tiny hands. The childminder skilfully engages them in comparing wooden shapes, extending children's mathematical language further. They learn about spheres, cuboids, and 3D shapes.

The provision is outstanding
Children experience a wealth of activities that challenge them and engage their learning as the childminder follows their interests. For example, she arranges outings to an aerodrome to observe planes, they have fun on bus rides and train spotting, as these opportunities support children's continued interest in transport. The childminder plans activities around a day in London, following a child's own experience. Children are enthralled and excitedly recall what they have learned. They make bridges over their drawings of the River Thames, using small bricks, and learn about balance and structures, making large models of landmarks using cardboard boxes.
