This provision does not meet requirements

n The childminder has limited understanding of the role and responsibilities of their registration. He fails to meet multiple requirements including those in relation to child protection, those relating to notifications to be made to Ofsted, and requirements relating to the suitability of persons living at premises registered for childminding. The childminder has failed to share multiple pieces of significant information with Ofsted, that is likely to affect the suitability of persons living or working on the premises. This means that Ofsted has not been able to assess potential changes to the suitability of persons living on the childminding premises. n The childminder has failed to maintain sufficient knowledge and understanding of child protection matters to enable him to recognise concerns or to take prompt action in the case of a concern. He is unaware of local safeguarding procedures or of how to recognise and report potential signs of concern. This

increases the risk of delays in sharing information to protect children. As a result, the childminder has failed to follow required procedures to report allegations. n The childminder has failed to maintain required training throughout his registration. For example, he failed to maintain a valid paediatric first-aid qualification for a period of 10 and a half months, including three months during which he cared for children. While he has recently completed this training, the delay reflects the childminder's inability to sustain the requirements of their registration. The childminder has not identified the potential impact of gaps in their knowledge and training and this has led to multiple breaches of requirements. n The provider has maintained some understanding of the learning and development requirements of the early years foundation stage. For example, he is aware of how to support young children's language development and to help

them learn about the world around them. Through discussion, the childminder demonstrates that he understands how to help children be ready for the next stage in their learning, including school. n Written testimonials from parents demonstrate that they have been satisfied with the care and education that the childminder has offered when he has looked after their children. The childminder demonstrated through written records that he has shared information about children's progress with their parents. However, the childminder has not accurately maintained required documentation. This includes written procedures that he has shared with parents in relation to child protection and managing complaints.

This provision does not meet requirements

24 February 2022 There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
