This provision does not meet requirements

n The childminder has not kept her knowledge of child protection up to date. As a result, she does not have a good enough understanding of the 'Prevent' duty guidance or signs that a girl may be subjected to female genital mutilation. However, that being said, the childminder demonstrates a reasonable understanding of some of the signs that a child may be being abused. The childminder knows where to report any concerns that she may have about children's safety. n The childminder explains how she will observe children to find out where they are in their learning. She discusses how she will plan activities to extend children's learning further. n The childminder shows the inspector some of the resources she has to extend children's learning. She talks about how she will use books, songs and rhymes to support children's communication and language. The childminder explains how she will develop older children's literacy and mathematics skills.

p.2

This provision does not meet requirements

There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
