Summary of outcome

The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted or the childminder agency with which they are registered of any serious accident, illness or injury to, or death of, any child while in their care, and of the action taken.

Summary of outcome
We liaised with the Local Authority Designated Officer and on 22 February 2022 we carried out a regulatory telephone call. We found that the provider has taken steps to prevent a similar injury occurring again in future. For example, the manual handling procedure has been reviewed and staff reminded of that. Some staff have re-done a manual handling training course and all other staff will be asked to re-do the course in the near future. We are satisfied with the action taken by the provider and they are still registered with Ofsted.
