Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage . If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right. On 19 January 2022, we carried out a regulatory visit. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. We have served a welfare requirements notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. We also found that the provider has not informed Ofsted of an assistant that works in the setting, so that Ofsted can carry out suitability checks. We will monitor the childminder to ensure that she informs Ofsted so that suitability checks can be carried out. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We will monitor the provider's response to ensure the actions are successfully completed. On 3 February 2022, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions, raised at the last regulatory visit. We found that the provider has implemented procedures in the home to make sure that it is secure at all times. The provider has a mobile phone policy in place that explains that other than the childminders mobile phone, mobile phones must not be used on the premises when the childminder is working. The childminder has informed Ofsted about the assistant working at her premises. This is so checks can be carried out by Ofsted, to make sure that the assistant is suitable. The childminder now fully understands their responsibilities.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
