Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 11 November 2021, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be inadequate. The inspection report sets out the actions the provider was required to take to meet the requirements. We also served a welfare requirements notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions within the timescales set out in the report. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 9 December 2021, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions, raised at their last inspection and set out in the welfare requirements notice. We found that the provider had notified Ofsted of all employed assistants and initiated relevant checks. She had ensured that assistants were not used in ratio, until their suitability checks had been cleared by Ofsted. We found that the provider had sourced opportunities for supporting her assistants to improve their knowledge and skills. These actions improve procedures for ensuring that all adults working with children are suitable to do so. The provider had improved her administrative arrangements to ensure that relevant public liability insurance was in place, accurate records of children's attendance were kept and information records for all children on roll were appropriately detailed. This improves the safe management of the provision.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We found that the provider had considered the use of space within the home to ensure that all children have enough space to move around and play freely. This had been supported by a reduction in the numbers of children attending at one time. We also found that the provider had worked with the local authority and parents to share information to help her monitor, support and meet the needs of children more effectively. The provider was also continuing to work with the local authority to improve the quality of provision for children. We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The actions relating to learning and development set out in the report, will be considered at the next inspection. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.1

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
