Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 30 November 2021, we received concerns that the provider was not meeting some of these requirements.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 03 December 2021, we carried out a regulatory visit. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. We issued actions for the provider to take. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.1

Summary of outcome

-update your safeguarding children policy and procedure to ensure it is in line with the guidance and procedures of the relevant local safeguarding partners (LSP). The safeguarding policy and procedure must include an explanation of the action to be taken in the event of an allegation being made against a member of staff

p.1

Summary of outcome

-ensure that staff are fully aware of and understand the updated safeguarding policy and procedure, including what to do if they have concerns about a colleague, and the role of the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO)

p.1

Summary of outcome

-ensure that minimum staff-child ratios are maintained at all times and that staff are deployed effectively to meet children's needs, particularly where there are children with additional needs attending

p.1

Summary of outcome

-obtain an enhanced criminal records check for all new staff members.

p.1

Summary of outcome

The provider responded to Ofsted to say they have liaised with the local authority and have enhanced their safeguarding children policy. They have also included a whistle blowing policy, as well as a procedure to be followed in the event of any allegations being made against a member of staff. The provider reported that all staff have received a copy of, and discussed the updated version of the safeguarding children policy. The new policy and procedure will also be discussed at the next staff meeting.

p.1

Summary of outcome

The provider also confirmed that staff-child ratios and staff deployment issues have now been addressed and meet minimum requirements. Also, that criminal records checks are now in the process of being obtained for all new staff members. The provider also confirmed that new staff members are not left unsupervised with children while their suitability checks are ongoing.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We are satisfied with the action taken by the provider and they are still registered with Ofsted.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
