n Staff work closely with the school to find out about children's individual needs and the topics being learned in the classroom. They use this information well to support children at the club and plan activities based on their interests. Staff ask children for their ideas and contributions to develop activities and the club further. n Staff encourage children to be independent. When children arrive at the club, they put their belongings away tidily. They follow good hygiene routines, such as washing their hands before having a snack. Staff talk to children about healthy eating and drinking plenty of water.
