n The childminder knows the importance of reflecting on future improvements and the quality of practice to improve her skills and knowledge. She accesses training courses and independent research to further support children with their learning and development. However, she does not consistently keep her training up to date. For example, she does not hold a current paediatric first-aid certificate. This is a requirement of her registration. n The childminder describes how she will observe and monitor the progress that children make. She understands how to plan for children's learning to help them make the progress which they are capable of. The childminder recognises the importance of sharing information with parents about their children's development, to support children's learning at home. n Through discussions, the childminder explains how she will help children to be emotionally ready for their move on to school. For example, she intends to read

how she will use this information to plan appropriate experiences, along with her own observations, to help broaden children's learning and support their development in her setting. n The childminder knows the signs and symptoms that may suggest that a child is at risk of harm or abuse. This includes being able to identify if children or parents are being drawn into extreme views and beliefs. The childminder understands where to report any concerns she may have about children's safety and welfare. Furthermore, she knows where to report any allegations made against herself or family members. n The childminder is aware of the need to complete the progress check for children aged between two and three years. She intends to share this check with parents and health professionals in order to seek any early interventions that may be required.

This provision does not meet requirements

23 November 2021 There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
