n The childminder does not have appropriate safeguarding knowledge. She is unable to identify signs that a child is at risk of abuse and has a poor understanding of the action to take should she have concerns of this nature. In addition, the childminder's knowledge of wider safeguarding issues, such as her responsibilities under the 'Prevent duty', are poor. The childminder does not know the correct procedures to follow if an allegation was made against her or a household member. This lack of understanding could place children at risk of harm. n The childminder does not have appropriate knowledge about assessing children's progress. She is unsure of how to plan activities that are appropriate for a child's stage of development, and does not know how to plan for children's next steps in their learning. n The childminder does not evaluate her provision to make improvements to her practice and teaching. previous inspection. The childminder has not updated her knowledge, including of the most recent requirements of registration, to ensure it is current. As a result, she does not yet demonstrate an ability to provide safe and good quality care and education to children. n The childminder lacks knowledge of how to support children in the next steps of their learning, including transition to school. She is also unable to demonstrate understanding of how to develop children's understanding of the diverse communities they live in. n Parents describe how caring the childminder is and how easily their children settle into her care. The childminder knows how to promote children's positive behaviour, and how to help children feel secure in her care. n The childminder does not have a secure knowledge about all the changes that she must notify to Ofsted, and the time frame in which to do this. n The childminder knows how to risk assess her premises to ensure that any

hazards are identified, and risks of physical harm to children are removed. n The childminder collects some written feedback from parents about their experience of using her childcare service. However, she does not share information with parents about their children's progress and development. This limits parent's ability to continue children's learning at home.
p.2
This provision does not meet requirements
There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
