Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage', which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 30 June 2021 the provider notified us of a safeguarding incident. Her pet dog had bitten a child in her care. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the early years foundation stage welfare requirements to notify Ofsted of a significant event that may affect the suitability of anyone working with children.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We visited the provider at her premises to discuss the concerns. We found that the provider had not taken sufficient action to safeguard children following the incident. We have issued a welfare requirements notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the action below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.
p.1
Summary of outcome
take all reasonable steps to ensure that children and assistants are not exposed to risks and demonstrate how these risks are being managed, with particular regard to pet dogs
p.1
Summary of outcome
We have now visited the provider's premises and discussed the steps she has taken to address the action raised. We are satisfied that the provider has taken all appropriate steps to ensure that risk assessments are effective.
p.1
Summary of outcome
The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
