n The childminder has addressed the weaknesses identified at the previous inspection. However, further weaknesses in practice and the suitability of the environment have come to light during this inspection. This has resulted in Ofsted taking enforcement action. n The childminder has failed to update her knowledge and understanding of the changes to the revised 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage'. She is unsure of some elements of the learning and development requirements. This has a negative impact on the childminder's ability to demonstrate how she will implement a broad challenging curriculum that will meet children's needs. n The areas used by the children within the home are very disorganised and cluttered, which poses a risk to fire safety. Some of the equipment available to the children is dirty and broken. For example, a travel cot is placed on top of the train table, which prevents children from using that area or accessing the toys

within that location. The garden has lots of broken household and play equipment, which prevents it from being a safe and suitable space for children to play. For example, two rusty microwaves and a broken trampoline remain accessible to the children, posing a risk to their safety. n The childminder has a good understanding of her role and responsibilities in keeping children safe. She demonstrates a secure understanding of indicators that a child may be at risk of harm. However, the childminder has not reviewed the procedures to follow if she has a concern, in line with changes to the local safeguarding partnership. n The childminder demonstrates, through discussion, that she is developing positive partnerships with parents. She shares information with them and communicates messages from school. However, she has yet to instigate more effective partnerships with other professionals that work with the children to

provide continuity in their learning. n The childminder has an up-to-date paediatric first-aid qualification. Through discussion, she demonstrates a secure understanding of the procedures to deal with common childhood accidents. This includes seeking medical attention for serious accidents to ensure children are treated promptly. Attendance records sampled show they are accurately maintained for the children on roll. n The childminder demonstrates a suitable understanding of how to encourage children to behave well. During discussions, she provides examples of how she supports children in their play to share and take turns, such as when they build with bricks. n The childminder plans art and craft activities to enable children to recognise and understand celebrations for their own religion and that of others. The childminder demonstrates this by sharing examples of children's art work, including pictures they have drawn of their family.

This provision does not meet requirements
9 November 2021 There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
