This provision does not meet requirements
n The childminder is not meeting the requirements of the early years foundation stage and has not undertaken any training to develop her practice since registering. However, she recognises the need to improve her knowledge to make sure requirements are met, even if there are no children on roll. n The childminder does not have a secure understanding of when to make notifications to Ofsted. For example, she has not always informed Ofsted of changes to her household. As a result, Ofsted has not had the necessary information to be able to check the suitability of all adults aged 16 years or over living in the household. n The childminder has not maintained a full and relevant paediatric first-aid certificate and some of the contents in her first-aid box are out of date. robust safeguarding policy. Although she has a basic knowledge of child protection issues, she lacks an understanding of the 'Prevent' duty guidance and who to contact if an allegation is made against her. n The childminder understands the need to support children's health and well- being. For example, she will provide children with healthy food and discuss how they can maintain good oral health. Children will have daily opportunities for fresh air and to be active. However, the childminder has failed to ensure that resources and areas to be used by minded children are adequately clean. n The childminder has smoke alarms in place but does not have any fire-control equipment, such as a fire blanket, to use in the event of an emergency. Her risk assessment is not robust enough to safeguard children. For example, there are trailing wires, low-level cleaning products, a free-standing mirror and choking hazards, such as ring-pulls, accessible to young children.

This provision does not meet requirements
n The childminder has gaps in her knowledge of the learning and development requirements, which will impact on her ability to develop a tailored curriculum for young children. She is unclear about her responsibilities to carry out a written summary of children's progress when they are aged two years. The basic range of toys and equipment available are not well organised. For example, puzzles are stored in a large box with other toys, making it difficult for children to find the pieces. n The childminder recognises the value of working in partnership with parents and other professionals to help ensure consistency in children's care and learning. She does not demonstrate a knowledge of how to proceed in the event of a parent making a written complaint. She has appropriate expectations of children's behaviour and will encourage children to have respect for others.

This provision does not meet requirements
18 October 2021 There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
