All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage', which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

Summary of outcome
On 22 October 2021, we carried out an unannounced visit. We found that the childminder had improved their knowledge and understanding of child protection procedures and now fully understands their responsibilities in relation to managing allegations. The childminder had taken significant steps to clean, reorganise and make safe the premises and equipment. She had implemented more robust procedures for assessing risk and for checking the suitability of the play spaces. The childminder had implemented a no smoking policy, on her premises and to reduce the risk of harm associated with second-hand smoke. She had improved the hygiene arrangements around her dogs' use of the outside area, where children also played. The childminder identified a safe space to site a pram or travel cot in the lounge to provide safe sleeping arrangements. She restructured the registers and record-keeping procedures, to help her to plan for and demonstrate the names of each child
