This provision does not meet requirements
Children are happy and excited to attend this warm and welcoming holiday camp. They have developed close bonds with the fun, caring staff and are confident to talk to them if they need help. New children settle well and are secure at the club. Children eagerly take part in the wide range of activities each day and make choices confidently. They use a voting system to decide what group games to play together. Children of all ages show maturity, using this system to decide what games to play together.
p.2
This provision does not meet requirements
Children's behaviour is very good. Staff are positive role models for children and have high expectations for their behaviour. They encourage children to use good manners, take turns and to be kind to each other. Children listen well to staff and follow their instructions and the rules of the holiday camp. However, the provider does not ensure that at least one member of staff with a current paediatric first-aid certificate is present at all sessions. This could compromise children's safety in the event of a medical emergency.
p.2
This provision does not meet requirements
Due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, parents have not been able to enter the holiday camp. Staff provide parents with a copy of the planned activities for the summer and make sure that they make time to speak to parents outdoors at the end of the day.

n The provider does not ensure that at least one member of staff with a current paediatric first-aid certificate at the required level is present at all sessions. n Children benefit from attending a holiday camp run by trained sports coaches, who want children to enjoy sport as much as they do. Children learn about the core values that underpin good sportsmanship, such as respect and teamwork. Staff support children's confidence and self-esteem very well. For instance, they give ongoing encouragement to children as they take part in team games and staff give children in their team 'high fives' to praise their efforts and achievements. Children relish the encouragement and pass this encouragement on to their friends. n The provider supports the staff team effectively. She supervises the staff well and they comment that they feel supported in their roles. The provider encourages staff to reflect and evaluate on the service they provide. For

They use a football with a bell in and learn about the rule adaptations. n The holiday camp offers children plenty of opportunities to be physically active and practise their sports skills. For example, children can take part in football, archery, cricket and fencing. This helps children develop confidence and teamwork, as well as benefiting from valuable exercise. n Children's healthy lifestyles are supported well. For example, children are very active and they are encouraged to drink lots of water. Staff provide a healthy lunch for children and fruit for children to help themselves to.

Safeguarding
The arrangements for safeguarding are not effective.
p.3
Safeguarding
The provider and staff have a good understanding of their roles and responsibility to protect children from harm. However, the provider does not ensure that at least one member of staff with a current paediatric first-aid certificate to the required level is present at all sessions. Staff know how to recognise signs of abuse and are clear about the procedures to follow should they have any concerns about a child in their care. Staff have a good understanding of wider safeguarding issues, such as signs that a child may be at risk from exposure to extreme views. The provider has thorough recruitment procedures in place to ensure that those employed to work with children are suitable to do so.

n This was the first routine inspection the setting received since the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic began. The inspector discussed the impact of the pandemic with the setting and has taken that into account in their evaluation of the setting. n The provider and the inspector completed a learning walk to discuss how the provision is organised, and to consider the range of activities provided. n Children and parents shared their views with the inspector, who took these into account when evaluating the quality of the provision. n The inspector observed staff as they interacted with children and evaluated what it is like for a child to attend the club. n The inspector held a meeting with the provider. She checked evidence of the staff's suitability and sampled a range of other documentation, including staff qualifications and training records.
