Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 13 September 2021, we received concerns that the provider was not meeting some of these requirements.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 17 September 2021, we carried out a regulatory telephone call. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. We have served a welfare requirements notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure that staff are alert to any issues of concern in a child's life at home or elsewhere

p.1

Summary of outcome

n assign a key person for every child whose roles include ensuring that care is tailored to meet individual needs, helping the child become familiar with the setting, offering a settled relationship for the child and building a relationship with their parents

p.1

Summary of outcome

n maintain records and obtain and share information with parents to help ensure the needs of all children are met

p.1

Summary of outcome

n record the following information for each child: full name; date of birth; name and address of every parent and/or carer who is known to the provider (and information about any other person who has parental responsibility for the child); which parent(s) and/or carer(s) the child normally lives with; and emergency contact details for parents and/or carers

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure that all staff understand their roles and responsibilities, with specific reference to systems for sharing information between leaders and managers.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We will monitor the provider's response to ensure the actions are successfully completed.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 29 September 2021 we monitored the provider's compliance with these requirements. We found that the provider has reviewed communication systems between senior staff to ensure that information about children is shared fully, particularly with regard to arrangements for new starters. The provider has made changes to the key-person arrangements. Before a parent leaves their child for a settling-in session the child will already be allocated a key person who will ensure that admission paperwork has been completed before accepting the child.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We are satisfied that the provider has taken appropriate steps to address the weaknesses in practice. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
