Summary of outcome
We are satisfied that the provider has taken the necessary steps to meet the action raised. They have undertaken training to increase their knowledge and understanding of the Prevent duty and ensured that their assistants have also done this. The provider has ensured that the smoke detectors on both the upper and ground floor of the home are in good working order and are also interlinked. Additionally, she has put steps in place to ensure that children are not exposed to risks, such as household chemicals, in low-level cupboards. She has reviewed her ratios and now ensures that these are always maintained appropriately. The provider now ensures that her registers of attendance are accurate to show the times that children attend her setting.
