Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 10 August 2021, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be inadequate. The inspection report sets out the actions the provider was required to take to meet the requirements.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 25 August 2021, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions, raised at their last inspection. We found the provider had met some of the safeguarding and welfare actions but not others. The provider had updated their procedures for keeping children safe in the sun and for managing any administration of medication. She had also reviewed her risk assessment procedures to minimise risks to children. The provider now ensures that she supervises children appropriately and does not leave children alone with unchecked adults. We found that the provider has not provided Ofsted with all the required information to complete suitability checks on all people who work on the premises, but had not fully completed this process. We also found that the provider had not ensured children's behaviour was managed in an appropriate and consistent way.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We have therefore served a welfare requirements notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.
p.1
Summary of outcome
n ensure that Ofsted is provided with the required information to enable them to complete suitability checks on all people who work on the premises in a timely manner
p.1
Summary of outcome
n improve your understanding of appropriate behaviour management strategies for the children in your care.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We will monitor the provider's response to ensure the actions are successfully completed.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 16 September 2021, we carried out a further regulatory visit. The focus of this visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions, raised at the previous visit. We found that the provider has now provided Ofsted with the required information to enable them to start the process of completing suitability checks on all people who work on the premises. We found that the provider has improved her understanding of how to manage children's behaviour and is continuing to develop her knowledge of appropriate strategies.
p.1
Summary of outcome
The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
