Summary of outcome

Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills is leading Ofsted's work into how regulated early years and childcare providers in England have delivered child- centred practice and care, within the context of the restrictions placed on society during the COVID 19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

p.1

Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage . If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 18 June 2021, the provider notified us of an incident that was likely to affect the suitability of a person living or working on the premises where childcare takes place. The provider did not notify us at the earliest opportunity, as required. This means that they did not meet their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 21 June 2021, we carried out a regulatory visit. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. We suspended the provider's registration to allow more time for the circumstances to be investigated and for steps to be taken to reduce or eliminate the risk of harm. On 25 June 2021, we received information from the provider that she had taken action to eliminate any risk to children. We lifted the suspension.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We have served a welfare requirements notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure that fully secure child protection procedures are in place and implemented to safeguard children, including in the event of an allegation being made against any person living or working on the premises (whether the allegations relate to events taking place on the premises or elsewhere)

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure that the person with lead responsibility for safeguarding children attends a child protection course that enables them to fully understand, and carry out, their responsibilities n ensure that there are effective arrangements to inform Ofsted, as soon as is reasonably practicable, of any serious allegations against any person living, working or looking after children at the premises (whether the allegations relate to events taking place on the premises or elsewhere)

p.1

Summary of outcome

We will monitor the provider's response to ensure the action/s are successfully completed.

p.2

Summary of outcome

On 12 July 2021 we carried out an inspection during which we monitored the actions set. All actions had been addressed. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
