p.1

The provision is outstanding

Children truly flourish in the care of this dedicated childminder. They are extremely happy and confident to independently explore the inviting and safe environment the childminder and her co-childminder have created within their home. Children show excellent behaviour for their age. The childminder consistently promotes consideration, respect and good manners. Her sensitive and responsive support helps children to appreciate the needs of others and learn to share and take turns. For example, children learn to understand that not everyone wants to be tickled and appreciate that when another child has a toy first, they should wait their turn.

The provision is outstanding

The childminder places an exceptional emphasis on supporting children's emotional development and well-being. She is very thoughtful and attentive. She values children as individuals and carefully considers their specific needs. She has built very respectful and caring relationships with children and their families. Together with her co-childminder, she fosters an exceptionally strong sense of community within their childcare provision. Parents comment that they are very grateful to belong to the childminders' 'Beehive childcare family' and praise the vital support the childminders have provided during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. Their highly innovative 'Beehive TV', which offered story and activity videos and messages, provided superbly effective support to families throughout periods of national lockdown.

These are sharply focused on the changing needs of the children who attend, such as how to provide effective support to children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). The childminder's provision is very child centred and exceptionally well organised to promote high-quality learning and care. n The childminder diligently and meticulously outlines any gaps in children's development. She plans targeted, highly stimulating activities and experiences that skilfully link to children's identified needs and current interests. She focuses

They count with confidence and recognise numbers. n Children have superb opportunities to be active in the fresh air and learn about nature and the wider world. Their imagination and ability to experiment soar as they create mixes with natural materials, such as herbs and rose petals, at the play kitchen in the garden. The childminder also regularly takes them on inspiring trips. Children learn to care for plants and they grow and harvest fruit and vegetables at the childminder's allotment.
