She carries out regular observations of staff to evaluate the quality of teaching and identifies areas for improvement. However, she does not swiftly identify all specific training needs and development for all staff. n Children engage in mark-making activities to support their creativity and early literacy skills. They enjoy rolling toy cars in paint and examining the patterns the wheels make on the paper. Staff give children lots of praise and encouragement. Staff encourage older children to talk about their feelings and emotions during circle time. This helps children to feel valued and boosts their self-esteem.
